Legislative Update
A lot of “behind the scenes” work is taking place. We are meeting with lobbyists and other stakeholders to reach common ground prior to the legislative session beginning on January 13, 2025. Each and every conversation we have is vital, and we are happy to report that so far we have been well received!
Register now for the stakeholder meeting. Consumers, health professionals, legislators, and organizations interested in supporting midwifery licensure are welcome to attend! We will be covering the history of midwifery in Georgia, highlighting why midwifery licensure is needed, and explaining current bill language.
