Introduce Midwives and HomeBirth to your Legislator's Office!

  • 608-C Coverdell Legislative Office Bldg. Atlanta GA 30334 USA (map)

Did you know that you can schedule a meeting with your legislators in their offices at the state capitol? Our legislative team has set aside this time to prep you before your scheduled meeting and even attend alongside you.

Step One: Fill out this form, which will help you know WHO your representatives in the Georgia House and Senate are. (hint: You will discover their contact information this way!)

Step Two: Contact your representative by calling their Capitol Office and asking for an appointment. Tell them you want to speak to your representative about the Licensed Midwife Act, currently HB 910.

Step Three: Sign up here so that we know you are coming!

Step Four: Show up a little before your appointment on your day! You will be prepped, handed information, and hopefully accompanied to your legislators office.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Bring a photo ID to gain entrance into the buildings.

Someone from our legislative team will meet you in our bill sponsor Rep. Karen Mathiak’s office. This is a soft place to land, ask questions, breastfeed a baby, leave your coats/belongings and catch your breath.
